May 2 • Some Dreams Wait for Company

May 29, 2026

We’ve been thinking lately about the quiet power of dreams.

The ones that stay with us for years without demanding anything.

Long before we met, both Carolina and I carried the same dream: to visit the Rockies. To walk, camp and paddle through the trails, rivers and mountains in this part of Canada.

Back then, it felt simple. Just a place we hoped to see someday.

We could never have imagined that life would eventually bring us here, not for a trip, but for thirteen years in Nelson, British Columbia 🇨🇦.

Sometimes we still pause and look around in disbelief. The mountains outside the window. The lakes. The long winters. The friendships built over years. A place that once existed only in imagination slowly becoming part of who we are.

And maybe that’s what keeps surprising us:
Sometimes dreams don’t arrive in the shape we first imagined.

Certain dreams, when kept alive inside us long enough, slowly begin reorganizing the reality around them.

As this new journey through the Americas approaches, we’ve started wondering how many invisible dreams might already be travelling quietly alongside us.

Some of you have been writing emails back to these posts. Leaving comments. Sharing memories, longings, places that still live inside you.

And these messages have brought an unexpected warmth to this crossing already. A feeling that the road may carry much more than our own loose plans and wild dreams.

Matheus, our oldest son, is already planning to meet us in Peru, so we can hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu together in the Andes.

Just imagining this possibility moves something inside us.

A dream becoming a landscape.
A landscape becoming part of a reunion.

And now we can’t help but wonder:

What dreams are quietly alive inside the people reading these words?

Is there somewhere in the Americas you’ve always wanted to visit?

A place that has stayed with you for years?

A place that keeps calling softly from somewhere inside?

A place suddenly feeling closer than before?

Let us know!

Maybe in the comments. Maybe in a private message.
Maybe just as a small seed you finally say out loud.
Who knows?

This journey will include reunions, visits and a few intentional detours.
What if somewhere along the way our paths happen to cross too?

Fernando Murray

Excited about what is coming...;)

May 1 • GOING MERRY
From the very first moment we saw the motorhome, something was already there. The walk around, stepping inside, looking at the details… it all felt a little magical. An immediate sense of connection. Or maybe better said: love at first sight. It didn’t feel like we were buying an RV.It felt like we were meeting our next home and adventure. And with that came the question: what should we call it...
Apr 1 • Putting things in place
We finally parked our motorhome in our backyard: a Thor Majestic 23A. It’s a curious feeling because we haven’t left yet, but somehow, we’ve already begun. The rig is big. It now sits in our backyard access, and it’s hard to ignore its presence. We’re now stepping in and out, opening drawers and cabinets, testing things, trying to understand not only where things go, but how we’re going to inh...
Mar 2 • The journey is taking shape - lighter
In the past few months, I’ve found myself returning to a simple question—one that isn’t easy to answer honestly: what do I really need? It didn’t arrive all at once. It surfaced gradually, almost unnoticed, in the middle of practical decisions: what to bring, what to leave behind, what to sell, what to give away, what fits and what doesn’t. I used to think I needed a fairly robust setup to work...
