Liberating Structures
Local Gathering
A space for learning, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and nurturing connections to boost the practice of Liberating Structures.
November 17th 2023
from 8:00am to 5:00pm
Canadian War Museum • Ottawa

Join other local Liberating Structures Practitioners in a dedicated space for learning, collaboration, knowledge exchange, and cultivating connections to boost your practice.
Gathering Structure
When you register for the Gathering, you will have the opportunity to share your topics of interest before the event. This will also allow you to explore other Practitioners’ interests.
During the Gathering, our collective challenge will be to balance those sessions organized in advance while finding the space to accommodate offerings that may spontaneously arise from Practitioners.
A design group will be putting together an agenda, and we will be adapting and refining it as we go as a group...🤩
The Contents of the Gathering
Some possible topics that might inspire you to share include:
✅ New ways to apply Liberating Structures
✅ Combinations and variations of existing Liberating Structures
✅ Liberating Structures in Development
✅ Combining Liberating Structures with other facilitation methods
✅ Failing forward with Liberating Structures
✅ Liberating Structures in the Corporate environment
✅ Liberating Structures in Education
✅ Liberating Structures in the Social Arena

A special location
We will gather at the Ateliers C & D of The Canadian War Museum - one of the world’s most respected museums for the study and understanding of armed conflict.

Organizers
Carolina Almeida and Fernando Murray will be the leading the Design Group in this Local Gathering.
With deep gratitude for the authors - Keith McCandless and Henri Lipmanowicz - Carolina and Fernando have been infusing Liberating Structures in their practice since 2015.
In 2016, both coordinated the translation of Liberating Structures into Portuguese, and started gathering the Community of Practitioners in Brazil, today with more than 1,000 people.
Carolina and Fernando live in Nelson, a city nested in the rocky mountains in British Columbia, Canada. From Nelson, they partner as Consultants and Facilitators with clients across the globe.
