Join us to experience, and learn-by-doing, powerful facilitation strategies to promote active and effective participation in groups of any size

With Liberating Structures it is possible to awaken a participative and agile behaviour in meetings, planning sessions, classrooms or workshops. Liberating Structures productively disrupt conventional patterns in how we work together. They change dramatically the way results are generated without expensive investments, complicated training, or dramatic shifts in organizational structures.

What is an Immersion?

Maybe the best way to describe an Immersion is visualizing yourself learning a  new language, living for a period of time in a new country. It would be an immersive experience, which means intense, deep and sometimes, discombobulating...😜

In an Immersion we experience the Liberating Structures at all times, structuring all interactions with the group.

» We do not talk about, we experience the Liberating  Structures. This is when you learn the most...🤩

» We look behind the scenes. And then confirm how simple and powerful they are...🤔

» We reflect on results and discuss how to apply LS in different contexts. What can be an endless, rich and delightful conversation...😀

A special location

This will be our 32nd Immersion, and this time in a special location.

We will gather at the Canadian Museum of History - a celebrated complex in the heart of the National Capital Region, making it the Canada’s most-visited museum. With roots stretching back to 1856, it is one of Canada’s oldest public institutions and a respected centre of museological excellence, sharing its expertise in history, archaeology, ethnology and cultural studies both within Canada and abroad.

Your registration for the Immersion includes:

✅ Meals: Welcome Coffee, Lunch and Afternoon Snack.

✅ A Learning Journal with all LS to support you in your experience.

✅ A Deck of Cards with concise descriptions of all LS for visualizing Sequences (Strings).

Access to our online learning platform with additional resources and materials.

Throughout this Immersion, you will:

✅ Become familiar with various Liberating Structures to apply immediately;

✅ Understand the micro-structuring elements that organize and leverage results;

✅ Explore the Principles underneath Liberating Structures practice;

✅ Recognize the advantage of stringing Structures to achieve your goals;

✅  Access lots of additional resources about Liberating Structures.

Organizers

Carolina Almeida and Fernando Murray will be leading the Design Group in this Immersion, with special guests and Facilitators.

With deep gratitude for the authors - Keith McCandless and Henri Lipmanowicz - Carolina and Fernando have been infusing Liberating Structures in their practice since 2015.

In 2016, both coordinated the translation of Liberating Structures into Portuguese, and started gathering the Community of Practitioners in Brazil, today with more than 1,000 people.

Carolina and Fernando live in Nelson, a city nested in the rocky mountains in British Columbia, Canada. From Nelson, they partner as Consultants and Facilitators with clients across the globe.
